Welcome to theStudio’s annual Christmas Carol Blog Hop. Every year, theStudio designers gather together to “Sing Christmas Carols” to all of our members, customers, fans, and friends. It’s a way for us all to say Merry Christmas and a big thank you for being so supportive of us.
Each designer has chosen a Christmas carol and created a freebie around that song. This year, I chose “Still, Still, Still.” This was my favorite song all 3 years of high school at the Christmas concert. It was always the last song, and our choir director had us move from the stage and walk down the aisles in the auditorium for a close-up “surround sound” for the audience. The lights were dimmed, and we sang this a cappella. I still remember how beautifully peaceful and almost spiritual singing this song felt in that setting.
I wanted to share a link so you could hear this song. This one is a great arrangement – I can easily bust out the alto part with no problem! I must admit I would prefer all song-appropriate pictures instead of the cute family pictures that suddenly appear throughout. Take a listen if you’d like; I hope you’ll understand why I love this song and chose it for this year’s kit. Click here to listen.
Here's my mini. Click here to download (freebie link expired).

I will definitely listen to your carol because this is a new one for me. (I was my church Organist at times, Pianist, and Minister of Music. I had to give it up when I became seriously ill.) Music is my heart and was my ministry. So thank you for this soft-hued Advent collection. My prayer to you for a continuous Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. :)
I just had to return and tell you that once I heard Norman Luboff's arrangement I knew the tune. It has been a many year since I hard it sung. Norman Luboff and his choir was all over TV performing, especially during the holidays. I know this was over 30 years ago. Also David Frost with the Billy Taylor Singers also did a special rendition one Christmas season. It must have been over 40 years ago. Sorry for the double post, but I just had to return after listening. :)
