Happy 1st Anniversary!

One year ago today, I launched this blog and bravely posted my first two attempts at designing. They were only paper packs, but I didn’t care. I was so proud, but also very nervous to share my work with others. I still feel proud and a little nervous every time I design something, and I still worry about every little detail. I continue to learn something new every day, and I feel blessed to have met so many wonderful online friends. I’m glad I took the leap and cannot express how much I appreciate your support and interest in what I do. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

This has been a very busy month: 2 blog trains, a full-sized store kit, finishing up all the “administrative” tasks for the March recipe card challenge and getting the April one ready, a guest CT opportunity for my friend, Tammy, and designing contributions for 2 new charity kits at theStudio. And that’s just the scrapbooking stuff! I have to get my taxes done ~ I’ve never been this late before ~ but sometime this month, I will design an anniversary “celebration” kit. It will be a freebie for a very short time so my faithful blog followers can grab it before it goes to the store. Watch for that in the next few weeks.

Want to win a free kit from my store? Leave me a comment with your color palette suggestions/theme for my celebration kit and/or the top 4-5 elements you like included in your kits. I’ll choose a couple of winners. If you have an actual color palette swatch, send that to my e-mail address. Even if you don’t want a free kit, I’d still love to get your ideas! : )

Happy 1st to you! (I'd never guess you were a "newer" designer!) Kit "musts" for me:

1. brads
2. stitching
3. chipboard type embellies
4. textured paper
5. basic word art

As for pallettes------no pink please!

I love your soft colors and really can't think of a thing I'd like to see except more of the same.. Happy Anniversary and glad you came on the scene

Happy Anniversary, hun! I just blogged about not having my taxes done yet, too/either! YIKES! I see your countdown ticker is getting smaller. YAY!

Happy Anniversary!!! I agree about the pink (since I have boys!) but I like greens and yellows right now. As for elements, I like ribbons and word art. Thank you!

Happy Anniversary!!!! How exciting.

Kit musts:
1. cool patterened paper
2. solid "cardstock" paper
3. frames
4. ribbon/trim
5. buttons

I have to say I am sooooo tired of flowers and foliage. As for pallettes...my two favorite colors are purple and green. And I don't see them together as often as I'd like!!!

Celebrating... bright and cheery colors. Lots of strings, those blow horns, hats, word art, happy (birthday, anniversary, ..) Just keep your style of papers and those buttons... I think they're your trademark.

I like purple, green, soft yellow, light blue, with a little off-white all put together.

I like paper with character, some with edges. Plain cardstock is something I can make.

Frames, alphas, stitching, photomask-birthday shapes like cupcake

I also log the blog background. Is that paper for sale??? I'd love that for a spring layout. Hint Hint!!!

I LOVE the palette you used for the April recipe challenge so would love a full kit with that. Like patterned and textured plainish papers, brads/buttons, riboons/strings, elements that work for boys and girls both. Can't wait to see what you design. :)

I too love your 'soft' colors. And as previously posted, not a big fan of all the foilage & flowers! I like basic metal embelishments, staples, brads etc as well as stitching! My two favorite colors are purple/turquoise- they complement eachother well and can be used for ANYTHING! Thanks and congrats on your anniversary! :)

Happy Anniversary!! How about blue and gold combo. I like seeing the following five items in a kit because it sets it apart from the average kit.
1. sheer ribbon
2. fancy buttons
3. velvet looking rik-rak
4. embossed paper
5. extracted element like a statue or a fancy charm.
I also like the color combo you used for the receipe kit this month.
