SAS Halloween Sale: 50% off

I've added 3 more of my former freebie kits to my SAS store. And the good news for anyone looking to buy anything at SAS: everything in the store is currently 50% off as your "treat" for Halloween! Here are the 3 latest kits I've added and the prices of all my kits through Saturday (or maybe Sunday, I'm not sure when the sale ends).

-- Afternoon Delight and Circle of Friends: currently $1.00
-- Fall Festival: currently $1.25
-- Strawberry Nirvana: currently $1.50
-- Grandma's Farm and Outside My Window: currently $2.00

NOTE: I intended to have my "Manly Men" kit done for this weekend, but am not quite there. So when I add it to the store, I'll have it as 50% off for the first 3 days.

Strawberry Nirvana QP #6

I'm a big fan of quickpages: it's nice to just drop in some pictures, add some journaling, and be done. Sometimes they're helpful to get ideas on how to use a kit. I also like to use them as cards. I've done that several times ~ sized a QP down to 4x4 or 6x6, added a thought or saying where the picture(s) would normally go, and print it out so I have a cute, unique card to attach to a gift or write a personal note/letter to someone.

Nita has posted the 2nd quickpage she made. I love how the ribbon frames her cute granddaughter and the tilted paper that's attached with the stitching. Great job, Nita. Click HERE to download this from Nita's blog. And be sure to let her know you appreciate her efforts!

I may have one more quickpage to offer from this kit; if so, I'll post it before the week is over. And on September 1, the next "Stuff to Scrap" blog train starts. The theme is "Fall Festival" ~ there are lots of great contributions for you to pick up. Hope to see you back then...

Strawberry Nirvana QP #5

Nita made two cute layouts with my Strawberry Nirvana kit and has turned them into quickpages to share with you. The first one was posted today; the second will be available tomorrow. Click HERE to download this from Nita's blog. And be sure to let her know you appreciate her efforts!

Strawberry Nirvana QP #4 and WordArt

Rose has another quickpage and a fun word art made with some of the Strawberry Nirvana elements. The word art is a separate "png" file so it can be used on any page. I've included a separate, bigger preview of it just so you can see how cute it is! I tend to think of word art as just text; Rose's creativity using kit elements with the text has opened a whole new world of possibilities for me! Click HERE to download these from Rose's blog. And be sure to let her know you appreciate her efforts!

Check back in a couple days and I'll have some info about a couple cute quickpages Nita made to share with you. And if anyone else makes something from one of my kits that you want to share with others, let me know (e-mail address at top of my home page) so I can include a post on my blog and send people your way.

Strawberry Nirvana QP's #2 & #3

If you like my Strawberry Nirvana kit, you're in for a treat! Over the next few days, I'll post links to some quickpages and a word art created by Rose and Nita. You can get the first two starting today on Rose's blog. She had the perfect pictures of her cute little guy for this layout. One of her quickpages includes the word "Strawberries"; the other does not and could be used for all kinds of pictures. Great job, Rose, and thanks for sharing. If anyone else makes something from one of my kits that you want to share with others, let me know (e-mail address at top of my home page) so I can include a post on my blog and send people your way.

Strawberry Nirvana QP #1

Andrea Dickinson hosts the monthly DSO Font Challenge, and I really liked the font for this month: Shark Random Funnyness. I turned my layout into my very first quickpage – download HERE if you want it. Also, I like frames on my pages, so I included the two I used as part of this download.

The bird is perfect for my layout, but if you don’t like it on yours, all the “parts” are in my Strawberry Nirvana kit to make your own minus the bird. And if any of you create layouts with this kit and are willing to share them as quickpages, send me an e-mail note (address above). Catch ya later…

Strawberry Nirvana Elements

UPDATE (10-25-2009): Kit now available in my Stone Accents Studio store HERE.
* * * * * * * * * *
Holy cow ~ remodeling is hard work! My body aches all over, and I've hardly done a thing! It's worth it, though, to see a room change with fresh paint and be there for the unveiling of a beautiful hardwood floor hidden under not so beautiful green carpet. Matt and Amber: you're doing an incredible job, and the end is near. I'm so excited for you! Great job!

I like short posts, but this is LONG because I have a few things to say. : )

First, I want to thank each of you for the comments and feedback you leave and the e-mail messages I receive. I can't adequately express how much they mean to me; I truly appreciate each one. I worry about each paper and element and drive my daughter crazy because I ask her opinion a gazillion times about each piece before I finish a kit. So thanks, Megan, for your patience and your honesty. And thanks to all of you for giving me confidence in what I'm trying to do and using what I design.

Second, I'm thinking about having a creative team (CT). If you're interested, please send me an e-mail message. If I get any replies, I'll put together a more 'formal' request and post it at some point in the future.

Third, a few things about these elements:
  • I've included some colored beads for you to create your own bead scatter, place them on the string, or use however you want. Also, I originally hooked a couple frames together with staples (like in the preview), but it was a huge file. So I've included the individual pieces so you can do your own thing.

  • Thanks, Strawberry Designs, for letting me know about Scrappin Diva's "Buy My Store" deal near the bottom of page 2 at Divine Digital. If you're interested, it's still showing on sale for $20 as of today and has TONS of templates for commercial use (like the birdhouse in this kit) as well as LOTS of personal use kits.

  • You get the first 2 elements I made using Scrappy Pony's "Glitter Artist Tool Kit." I love her glittery scatters, and now I can create my own. The kit's on sale for $4.39 through August ~ you can get it HERE. I also used Atomic Cupcake's plastic action on both elements.

  • And last: I suddenly feel a little funny with all this "advertising." I don't get anything from it except the satisfaction of passing on information about good deals. I'm a bargain shopper and don't like to pay full price for anything, so when I see something I think others may want, I'll include the info on my blog. And if you find deals I might like to help me create kits, my e-mail address is included at the top of my home page.
OK, enough talk: click here to download (LINK EXPIRED). Enjoy your day!

Strawberry Nirvana Papers

UPDATE (10-23-2009): Kit now available in my Stone Accents Studio store HERE.

I love the colors in this month's DSO Color Challenge ~ I immediately thought of strawberries. : ) I saw the swatch just after buying my favorite drink at Jamba Juice, and so the name of this kit became "Strawberry Nirvana." I hope you can use something I've designed to scrap some treasured memories. You can download here (LINK EXPIRED).

And remember the home improvement project my daughter and son-in-law are working on? Well, I'm off today and tomorrow to help sand, prime, paint ~ whatever they need, so I probably won't post the elements until Saturday. They turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself; I hope you'll come back to get them. Until then, take care...
