My round 2 kit for the Stone Accents Studio (SAS) designer contest is done, and I'm happy with how it turned out. I hope you'll like it, too!
The kit title and bright colors have special meaning to me. Several years ago, I parted ways with my birth family. It was not my choice, and it was a very dark, sad time I didn't know if I would recover from. However, I was blessed with a wonderful husband and 3 children who helped me establish the roots of my own family tree, in-laws who became my friends, and friends who became my family. They are my "circle of friends" who make each moment a little happier, each day a little brighter. Their love, support, and friendship continues to help me heal and move on.
And now on to the fun stuff. First, a big shout-out to Suzy for drawing some more great characters; I wish I had her talent! I'll include 2 more "girls" plus 2 "boys" when I finish part 2 (after I take a break!). Second, I created a simple word art to go with the kit. This saying was printed on my wedding invitation years ago ~ it's one of my favorite quotes. You can download it HERE.
Finally, if you're interested in my kit, you can find it HERE in the SAS gallery. You can also pick up lots of other great kits. And if you register at SAS, you'll be able to vote on the kits HERE for Round 2. Voting ends at midnight EST on Thursday, September 17. You can vote for up to 3 designers ~ be sure to click all 3 before clicking submit.
P.S. I've posted this on 4-shared and scanned it after downloading for viruses; it was clean. That's probably something we should all get in the habit of doing: scanning before unzipping. Better safe than sorry...

Super kit--I love your color combinations. Good luck in the voting.
Thanks for sharing your story; I believe that when one door closes, another one opens. Bless you.
JHawk,
Love your work. I really like the fresh look of you Round 2 kit. It's cheery and fun.
Very very cute!! Thank you so much for the darling kit (and characters) I totally understand the parting of ways with family. My mother disowned me when I was to be married at 24 years old. She had never met my husband so it wasn't because of him, I still have no idea what happened was just told to never contact her again. It is very hurtful, but luckily there are others who can fill in and boost you up! :-)
just stopping bye to wish you good luck again...Whew 2nd week just two more to go ..Hopefully
