“Manly Men” Layouts #3

As promised, here’s my freebie QP and the rest of the layouts I have as of right now. You can get the full kit in my store here. And if you want this QP, click on this link to download. Thanks for your support!

A big thanks to my CT members ~ those who have been with me a long time and those who are new. You did a fantastic job! There are a couple more QP’s to pick up if you’re interested: 1) this layout from Nita will be posted on her blog, and 2) Jenni’s layout from yesterday is on her blog.

And last ~ two more of mine. My son has taken so many great pictures. I’m trying to have most/all of them scrapped before he gets home in a few months, so I’m starting to put as many pictures as I can on my layouts!

“Manly Men” Layouts #1

Over the next few days, and in no particular order, I’m going to post layouts made by some wonderful online friends and CT members. Some of these will be made into QP’s; I’ll provide those links when I have them.

First up, if you haven’t subscribed to theStudio’s newsletter, you may want to. Toiny always shares great stories, you can catch up on upcoming Studio events and sales, plus you’ll get at least one exclusive newsletter freebie, like this QP from me that was in today’s edition.

Now on to some previews ~ click on them for a bigger view. I love the diversity of these layouts! And the pictures are terrific, too! Great job, ladies! I’ll introduce each CT member in a later post another day.

“Manly Men” Kit

Several months ago, I walked through the family room where my husband was watching TV and caught the theme song from “Two and A Half Men,” and the next day I started this kit. It’s taken me awhile to wrap up the loose ends and add it to my store, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The papers remind me of flannel shirts and corduroy, and I’ve already used it for several layouts with more on the way. There are also lots of 'general purpose' elements in this color palette so the kit will be versatile enough for all kinds of layouts ~ not just for men!

Here’s a preview of the full kit which is available in my store. In honor of my “recently turned 50” husband, the kit will be 50% off for the next few days only. Included in the purchase are 6 coordinating cardstock papers. And of course there’s a freebie sampler with 4 papers, 5 elements, and 1 cardstock (sorry, no preview). Download it here (freebie link expired 11-13-2010).

Over the next few days, I’m also going to share layouts made by my awesome Creative Team (CT) and introduce you to my new CT members. If their work with this kit is any indication, I again lucked out in finding some very talented women!

Sneak Peek of “Manly Men” kit…

It’s amazing how a single paper can change the look of a layout ~ I can’t decide which of these I like better. But at least I’m one step closer to my goal of completing all theStudio challenges this month. This layout is for Twin Mom Scraps’ “Use Those Elements” challenge. I rebelled just a tiny bit ~ I love frames on my photos! And I’m happy to have 2 more of the 100’s of pictures scrapped that I want to get done in the next 3 months.

Want a freebie quickpage out of one of these? Leave your vote in the comments or send me an e-mail, and I’ll make one out of the winner. Or maybe I’ll make a template to share ~ never done that before. Hmmm…  Also, watch for a new kit later this week ~ these layouts give you a little sneak peek of what has become one of my favorite kits (so far).
